The Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and low cost carriers Scoot and Tigerair have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on passenger services education, the organisations announced in a joint media statement on Tuesday (Sep 6).
One of the key highlights of the MOU will be the development of a simulated aircraft cabin at the Scoot-Tigerair Service Skills Centre housed at ITE College West, the statement said.
The centre will have a mock-up cabin, galley and lavatory specially developed for students’ hands-on learning.
In addition, ITE students will have the opportunity to build up career experience through internships with Scoot and Tigerair with the same pay and allowances as their full-time staff. These comprise internships as airline crew or in the various airline departments.
